The word “liturgy” means “work of the people,” and our services certainly require the work of many people each week. Serving in a worship service either in front of or behind the scenes can bring new meaning and perspective to your worship experience, and there are a variety of ways to take part.
Acolytes serve as torchbearers and crucifers during all three worship services as well as other liturgical celebrations. All youth fourth grade and above are welcome. The Altar Guild prepares and cares for the altar and its linens, vestments, and vessels. Please contact Patty Alexanderson.
Bread bakers prepare the bread used for our Sunday Communion. Please contact Meg Lindley.
Eucharistic Ministers assist in serving the chalice during Communion and receive training and license from the Diocese of California. Please

Eucharistic Visitors take Communion from the Sunday service to those who are unable to attend church. Eucharistic Visitors are trained and licensed by the Diocese of California. Please contact the parish office.
Greeters ensure that visitors, newcomers, and regular members at St. Timothy’s experience Christ’s hospitality and welcome by greeting at each service and providing information and follow-up to those who wish it. Please contact Virginia Woy.
Healing Prayer Chapel
During Communion at each Sunday service, healing ministers offer confidential prayers for healing with anointing and the laying on of hands in the Healing Chapel at the rear of the church. Please contact the parish office.
Lectors read the scripture lessons or the Prayers of the People during worship. Please contact the parish office.
Prayers of the People Writers
Each week, a member of the congregation writes the Prayers of the People that we pray during worship, so that our prayers reflect the life and concerns of our community and current world events. Please contact the parish office.
Ushers assist parishioners by seating them for worship, distributing bulletins, collecting the offering, and
