United Thank Offering
During Lent, we invite you to pick up a little Blue Box. As an expression of gratitude, place money in the box every time you give thanks. This daily practice of gratitude began with Episcopal women – and now women, men and children giving thanks by the practice of dropping a coin in the box for the ongoing mission and ministry of the Episcopal Church.
Our Easter Eggs this year will not be filled with coins, but with tickets which will allow our children to choose a gift for themselves and/or give tickets which will be added to our funds for the United Thanks Offering. Boxes are available in the Narthex or in the office.
Seder Commemoration Dinner – March 18
Come connect with our Jewish Roots and celebrate a commemoration of the Seder Dinner with the St. Timothy’s community on Sunday, March 18 from 4 PM to 7 PM. Fun activities for both children and adults. A wonderful Lamb dinner will be served. Tickets on sale starting February 11 after church. Contact Eric Soderstrom for more info or to volunteer to help (510) 552-1797.
Easter Egg Hunt – April 1 at 10 a.m.
This year our Easter Eggs will contain tickets and our children will exchange them for special Easter treasures Easter morning (April 1 at 10 a.m.). We will continue the tradition of giving thanks with change—but this year we invite you and our children to give thanks every day with a United Thank Offering Box. Our children will have the opportunity to give tickets on Easter and their offering will be translated into money for this important outreach.
