 Description / Philosophy Noah’s Ark is a faith-based developmental preschool. We provide all children with the opportunity to grow socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually in a loving community. Noah’s Ark honors the developmental strengths and needs of each child in our care, recognizing individual differences in interests and abilities. Our curriculum provides children with opportunities to learn through exploration and interaction in individual, small- and large-group experiences. Admission to the SchoolChildren must be toilet trained Admission to Noah’s Ark is given in order of receipt of the application for enrollment. Priority registration is held in November and December for the following school year, and, and is given to parish members, returning students, and siblings in that order. Community registration is held in January, at which time openings are offered to families in the community, in the order of placement of their names on our interest list. The interest list opens in October for the following school year. Additional applications are placed on a waiting list to fill vacancies as they occur. This puts them in line with the California public school deadline for starting kindergarten – age 5 by December 1 of the starting year. This class meets on Tuesday and Thursday mornings: 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. This is a class of 27 students with 6 teachers. 4 year old class (MWF)Children must be 3 years 6 months by September 1 of the starting school year.This class meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings: 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. This is a class of 27 students with 6 teachers.Pre-K Class (Pre-K)Children need to be 4 years 4 months by September 1.This class meets on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 12:30 – 3 p.m. This is a class of 30 students with 6 teachers.Tuition Monthly tuition fees for 2010-2011.3 year olds (T/TH class) $3754 year olds (MWF class) $4254 & 5 year olds (Pre-K) $460Tuition fee subject to change annually. Tuition is based on the number of class sessions in a school year. The total cost is divided into nine equal payments. Student Application Information2010-2011 School YearRegistration Schedule Children of St. Timothy’s members and returning students: November 1-11, 2009 Siblings December 1-9, 2009 Community Registration January 9, 2010 At community registration, parents will know if your child has been placed in our program, or your child’s number on the waiting list for his age group. Waiting lists are maintained and updated daily. Applications will also be received after January 9, 2010 at the preschool office during weekday office hours. Enrollment packets for returning or new students should be picked up from the preschool office: March 22-25, 2010 A check is required when you pick up the enrollment packet. This check covers tuition for May 2011 (last month of the 2010-2011 school year). Completed forms need to be returned by: April 29, 2010
